Counselling offers a space to step back and look more clearly at what’s going on in your life.
You might be used to coping — managing work, relationships, and day-to-day responsibilities — while something underneath doesn’t feel quite right. From the outside, things can appear steady, but internally there may be a sense of pressure, uncertainty, or feeling stuck.
Talking things through in a consistent, private setting can help you begin to understand what’s happening more fully, and find a way forward that feels more grounded.

How counselling can help
People come to counselling for many different reasons. You might be:
- feeling under pressure or finding it hard to switch off
- experiencing anxiety, low mood, or a sense of being stuck
- struggling with relationships or patterns that keep repeating
- going through a period of change or uncertainty
- wanting to understand yourself more deeply, rather than just cope
You don’t need to be in crisis to come to counselling. Often, it begins with a sense that something could be different.
Who I work with
I work with adults at different stages of life, many of whom are used to managing a lot on their own.
This often includes people who are:
- balancing the demands of work, responsibility and home life
- navigating change in their 30s, 40s, 50s and beyond
- adjusting to retirement or a shift in identity and routine
- reflecting on relationships, purpose, or what comes next
Many of the people I work with are looking for a space to understand themselves more fully, rather than just manage in the short term. We would review our work together regularly to ensure we are meeting your needs. Often clients can make noticeable change within 5-12 sessions although sustainable change may require longer term work.
